Jean" Morrissey, 92, of Dixon, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, at KSB Hospital in Dixon.She was born April 24, 1926, in Dixon, the daughter of Clarence and Margaret (Friel) Morrissey. Jean was a 1944 graduate of Community Catholic High School in Sterling. She had been a school teacher for 50 years, most recently at Lincoln School in Dixon for 30 years before her retirement. Jean was a nun with the Sisters of Loretto for 25 years.Survivors include her brother, Clarence "Bud" (Joyce) Morrissey Jr., of Amboy, and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Tom Morrissey.Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m., and the funeral at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy.
